How did you find the inspiration to start your page and take the leap as a content creator?

I have always been passionate about fashion and had people asking about details of my outfits so I thought it would be fun to start a platform where I could share that. Becoming a mother actually kickstarted it even more for me because I loved sharing my kids and capturing their sweet moments.

What is your overall inspiration for your posts and Instagram feed?

Being a mother and loving it wholeheartedly, but also staying true to your passions and integrating the two.

How did you get your first brand sponsorship, and who was it with?

My very first sponsorships were product only, but my first paid partnership was through our local mall showcasing their stores, styling outfits and sharing those details.

What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned working for yourself and creating your own personal brand?

The biggest lesson I have learned is staying true to yourself. No matter what you do, post, say, etc., someone isn’t going to like it. Just be you - because that authenticity is beautiful.

What is your favorite part of being a content creator?

There are two: Being able to look back on beautiful moments with my family and friends and inspiring others.

Who is your biggest inspiration in the industry and why?

Krista Horton (@krista.horton) - I have always admired how authentic she is and even with her fame she hasn’t changed a bit

What do you wish people knew about influencers?

That SO much goes on behind the scenes and it can be a lot of work. It is so fun and I love it or else I wouldn’t do it but I don’t think it gets enough credit.

Where do you see yourself, as well as the industry, within the next few years?

I see the industry continuing to grow even more. I would hope/dream to get to 20k followers in the next few years. I am at 13k now and I appreciate every single one of them so much.

What is the best piece of advice you have for people who want to build their own social media brand and get started in the industry?

Be you and share what you truly love. Don’t change for anyone or anything and don’t ever compare yourself to others.
